In 2003, Firefly (then known as Firefly Films) produced the critically acclaimed UK feature CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE, starring Hugh Bonneville (DOWNTON ABBEY) and Brenda Fricker (Academy Award winner) – which went on to be awarded the US National of Review’s “Freedom of Expression” award, shared with Michael Moore’s FAHRENHEIT 9/11 and Mel Gibson’s PASSION OF THE CHRIST.

In 2009, Firefly produced feature BOOGIE WOOGIE. The film was released theatrically in key territories, including in North America and the UK, with an all-star cast including Gillian Anderson (X-FILES), Heather Graham (THE HANGOVER), Danny Huston (CHILDREN OF MEN), Christopher Lee (THE LORD OF THE RINGS) and Amanda Seyfried (MAMMA MIA!).

Firefly was also Executive Producer of US feature AMERICAN COWSLIP, starring Val Kilmer (HEAT), and Academy Award nominees Rip Torn, Dianne Ladd, Bruce Dern, Peter Falk and Academy Award winner Cloris Leachman.

In 2009, Firefly signed its first actor for management – Ed Speleers. Ed starred in 20th Century Fox’s film ERAGON, alongside Jeremy Irons (Academy Award winner), and Academy Award nominees Djimon Hounsou and John Malkovich. Since joining Firefly, Ed has starred in feature film A LONELY PLACE TO DIE, and is presently filming the lead role in Ecosse Films’ feature LOVE BITE with Luke Pasqualino, Timothy Spall, Jessica Szohr and Kierston Wareing. Ed is also a partner in Firefly and is producing several film projects. In 2010, Firefly signed its first director client – BAFTA nominated Julian Gilbey, who is now set to helm US producer Lloyd Levin’s OFFWORLD.

Firefly is currently in development of several feature projects, and continues to grow its stable of talent.
