Matthew Hobbs [Founder, Producer, Talent Manager] started his career producing commercials for clients including Chrysler and Showtime, for Saatchi & Saatchi and The Campaign Palace, respectively, before moving into the production of acclaimed television drama series, including HEARTBREAK HIGH and WATER RATS, and thereafter, several independent feature films. In 1999, Matthew worked in Los Angeles as a celebrity fixer for UK publications; and as manager of a top Brazilian fashion model. Matthew then moved to London, where he took up an appointment at Channel Four Films/Film4 (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE), before line producing independent British features including DAYBREAK, starring César Award nominee Jean-Philippe Écoffey; DARK CORNERS with BAFTA, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Thora Birch (AMERICAN BEAUTY); and then as a producer of feature film CONSPIRACY OF SILENCE, starring Hugh Bonneville (DOWNTON ABBEY) and Brenda Fricker (Academy Award winner) – which went on to be awarded the US National of Review’s “Freedom of Expression” award, shared with Michael Moore’s FAHRENHEIT 9/11 and Mel Gibson’s PASSION OF THE CHRIST. Matthew then series-produced Season One of the highest-rated Middle Eastern television programmes of all-time – PRINCE OF POETS (filmed throughout the Middle East). Matthew then oversaw the development and launch of the Abu Dhabi Film Festival and Film Commission, before returning to London where he executive produced feature films BOOGIE WOOGIE, with an all-star cast including Gillian Anderson (X-FILES), Heather Graham (THE HANGOVER), Danny Huston (CHILDREN OF MEN), Christopher Lee (THE LORD OF THE RINGS) and Amanda Seyfried (MAMMA MIA!); and AMERICAN COWSLIP, starring Val Kilmer (HEAT), and Academy Award nominees Rip Torn, Dianne Ladd, Bruce Dern, Peter Falk and Academy Award winner Cloris Leachman; and branched Firefly into the management of actors and directors. Anita Jankovic [Partner, Development Executive, Talent Manager] started in the film and television industry as a Casting Associate on acclaimed television drama series, including HEARTBREAK HIGH and WATER RATS – produced by Southern Star Entertainment – Australia’s largest independent television production company. Anita then worked as Assistant to Scottish actor Dougray Scott, including on the production of John Woo’s MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: 2. Anita was then invited to Los Angeles by producer Mark Burnett (creator of SURVIVOR and THE APPRENTICE) to work as his Executive Assistant. In 2006, Anita joined renowned talent agency RGM – as Executive Assistant to the CEO. RGM represents actors such as Cate Blanchett, Rose Byrne and Andy Whitfield, to name but a few. Anita has extensive experience of casting for independent features, and television programmes for broadcasters including Network Ten Australia, Seven Network Australia, Nine Network Australia, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, the BBC, and US broadcasters including CBS Paramount. Anita is Development Executive on Firefly’s feature projects including BESLAN, and was Production Executive for Firefly on features BOOGIE WOOGIE and AMERICAN COWSLIP.

Ed Speleers [Partner, Producer] started his career in 2005 as the lead actor in 20th Century Fox’s film ERAGON, alongside, Jeremy Irons (Academy Award winner), and Academy Award nominees Djimon Hounsou and John Malkovich, which went on to receive two coveted Saturn Award nominations – including one for Ed for “Best Performance by a Young Actor”. Ed has since appeared in UK broadcaster ITV’s prime-time series ECHO BEACH and several television movies for international broadcasters, before joining Firefly in 2009. More recently, Ed played the male lead in BAFTA nominated director Julian Gilbey’s award winning feature A LONELY PLACE TO DIE; the lead in Ecosse Films and BAFTA winning director Andy De Emmony’s forthcoming feature LOVE BITE; and is currently filming Season 3 of the BAFTA, Emmy and Golden Globe award winning mini-series DOWNTON ABBEY.
